Profile
Claire is a junior Crown Prosecutor and appears for the New Zealand Police in the District Court. She also acts for various other Government Departments on summary prosecution matters.
Claire researches and provides opinions and advice to the Commerce Commission on Fair Trading Act issues, both civil and criminal, as well as the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act. She has overseen numerous Fair Trading Act prosecutions and appeared in court on behalf of the Commerce Commission at various stages of the prosecution process.
As a member of the medico-legal team, Claire researches, advises and has appeared in court on behalf of both public and private clients in relation to medico-legal issues ranging from insurance disputes and privacy requests to prosecutions, civil and disciplinary proceedings.
