Profile
David is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer. His focus in recent years has been upon criminal prosecution, appeals and judicial review of administrative action touching upon the criminal justice process. His particular specialty has been organised (profit-motivated) crime, including drug and gang-related crime, immigration and benefit fraud, and actions to recover criminal proceeds.
David is the Solicitor-General’s regular counsel in all proceedings brought under the Proceeds of Crime Act 1991 in the greater Auckland area, and members of his team assist the management of those matters.
He has also undertaken general commercial and other civil litigation and provided advice to both Governmental and private clients.
