Emma Priest is an Associate in the firm's trial preparation team.
She has more than 10 years' expertise, predominately in criminal prosecution and regularly prosecutes criminal jury trials in the Auckland District and High Courts. She has also prosecuted on behalf of other government departments during her time at Meredith Connell.
As a member of the trial preparation team, Emma is closely involved in considering decisions to prosecute and the drafting of indictments. This process calls for the review of criminal jury trial files, analysing the police investigation to date and ensuring that additional enquires are made as necessary. She is also involved in drafting pre-trial applications and prosecuting them.
Emma is currently working part-time with the firm in addition to raising her young children.
