Alysha is a Partner of the firm and a member of the Regulatory and Commercial Litigation Team. Alysha has more than 10 years experience prosecuting criminal cases and specialises in criminal and regulatory prosecutions.
Since joining Meredith Connell in 2005, the focus of Alysha’s practice has been on Fair Trading and Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act cases. Alysha has provided advice to and conducted prosecutions for the Commerce Commission in numerous cases in both areas.
In addition, Alysha conducts prosecutions for the New Zealand Transport Agency as part of its responsibility for enforcement of the laws, regulations and rules under the Land Transport legislation and for Maritime New Zealand in its enforcement of the legislation governing safety and security at sea.
Alysha has also prosecuted numerous High Court and District Court jury trials involving all manner of serious crime.
