Nick leads the Insolvency and Revenue teams at Meredith Connell.  Nick has extensive experience in civil litigation, where his focus is on Company, Insolvency and Tax law.  Nick also prosecutes serious criminal and regulatory offending.

Nick practised at a major commercial law firm before joining Meredith Connell in 2000 where he has since been, apart from some time in London where he worked in the litigation department at the insurance market Lloyd’s of London.  There he was involved in litigation (including cross-border litigation) stemming from Lloyd’s Reconstruction and Renewal plan.

Nick acts for a number of Crown and private clients.  He has conducted numerous commercial and judicial review proceedings, as well as proceedings under the Insolvency Act, Companies Act, Receiverships Act and the Inland Revenue Acts.  He has appeared as lead    counsel in a number of tribunals, the District and High Courts and the Court of Appeal. 

Nick continues to practice in the criminal jurisdiction, where Nick’s expertise is in prosecuting fraud and regulatory offending.  He also prosecutes jury trials involving serious criminal offending.
