The Commercial Department comprises two teams, led by Chris Moore (currently chair of the Property Law Section of the New Zealand Law Society), John Stephens, Steve Woodfield and Anna Moodie, with 16 legal staff. The Commercial Real Estate arm of the department, headed by Chris Moore, Steve Woodfield and Anna Moodie, offers a comprehensive range of specialist real estate legal services to a wide range of private local and offshore corporate clients (including national retailers) as well as Government departments and local authorities. The Commercial Corporate arm of the department is led by John Stephens and Anna Moodie, and offers a range of commercial legal advice servicing corporate and property clients both domestically and internationally, as well as New Zealand Government departments.
Practical Law Company ranking
The Practical Law Company is an international publishing company which, among other things, publishes an annual yearbook ranking law firms and individuals across numerous countries and in various specialties. In the 2009 yearbook, Chris Moore received the top equal ranking in New Zealand for Commercial Real Estate lawyers along with one other lawyer, and the Commercial Real Estate team also scored the top ranking along with two other firms.
